I have been meaning to do a tutorial for this make-up bag for a while now. I have one myself and have had so many lovely comments on it. Not only that, but it is also hands down the best make-up bag I have ever owned. It’s the perfect size, roomy without being a bottomless pit – if you know what I mean (and I’m sure you do!).
These bags make fabulous gifts, you could even fill it with goodies if you were feeling extra generous. They also sell really well at makets and online, a real little money maker, if that’s what you’re looking for!
1 Fat Quarter Exterior Fabric (Medium/Heavy weight, ie, canvas, home decor).
1 Fat Quarter Lining Fabric (I used polyester canvas, an outdoor fabric, which I love!).
1x 10″ Metal Zipper
Exterior (Top Strip) 11″ by 2 1/4″ (think about the direction of fabric, I have cut in the opposite direction for effect)
Exterior (Main piece) 13″ by 6″
Lining – the lining will be cut later, using the exterior as a template.
I’m sure you’ll love making this bag – they’re quite addictive! Fortunately, they make great gifts, so you can make as many as you like, and impress your friends in the process!
