I completely fell in love with this little cutie when I first saw it in Mollie Makes magazine. It was just so sweet! I wasn’t the only one in house who took a liking to it – both boys saw the cover of the magazine and thought it would be a great project…..
I’m always partial to a crafting project with the kids – but not naieve enough to think that they will stay motivated to do their fair share….
And, once again I was proved right! After an enthusiastic start (‘Can we make it now mum?? What about now?? Can I use the sewing machine??’), some pretty helpful stuffing, they left me to it – just checked in every so often to see how I was going (Is it finished yet?? Why not?? What about now, is it finished now??).
Charlie was in charge of stuffing – so much concentration!
We made these in September – so decided to make them Christmas Bunnies (that’s totally a thing), so they can double as Christmas decorations. It also has the added bonus of making me feel super organised (rather than 6+ months behind!). Plus October is Spring here, so it really does (sort of) work!
In the end we had a lot of fun making them – the frequent nagging was kind of helpful, certainly got the job done! Maybe I should get them to start on me about the dusting…
This bunny is from Mollie Makes magazine, issue 63
The finished product!
